Presentation: when the new language or skill is identified and explained / elicited Practice: where the new language or skill is carefully practised in a controlled way to make sure everyone has it right Production: where the learners can use the new language or skill in a freer, more personal way |

TTT stands for:
Test: setting tasks and doing activities to see how much the learners can already do and raise their awareness of what they need to do better Teach: where the needs from the first part of the lesson are addressed Test (again): to see how much has been learned and to show the learners what they have accomplished and where they have improved |

TBL approach to lesson
design and what are the two ways lessons can work? |
TBL stands for
Task-Based Learning.
Lessons can be planned in two ways: First way: Presentation of the task Do the task Report back on the task outcomes Analysis of the language produced with correction Practice of the language the learners needed to command. Second way: Practice of the language the learners will need Presentation of the task Do the task Report back on the task outcomes Revisit, revise and extend the language skills and systems |
